First off, it's Mardi Gras! I have loved Fat Tuesday since Seventh Grade when I learned about it in my French Class. From that year up until 11th grade, I decided it was the perfect opportunity to go crazy with my outfit, make up, hair and jewelry. I got my hands on as many beads I could find and would wear them all that day, and I didn't have to flash anybody. Trevor Harmon told me he liked me on Mardi Gras. The caf has a special dinner on Mardi Gras with a bunch of New Orleans dishes...not my favorite...
Next, I saw this music video on Elise's bloggeroo. Check it out.
Now, this song has been stuck in my head since I saw it. This was oh...yesterday. No big, it hasn't been that long. But, it kind of bugs me because the song isn't really that great...
"Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy...but here's my number, so call me maybe." Really?
Also, this isn't the official music video. But look at all the famous teens in this video, it's like a teenage girls dream. Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale, Big Time Rush, Moises Arias, and of course Carly Rae Jepson. Whoa, overload right there. (If you see the Hunger Games in there, you're cool) Also, the JB/Selena kiss tease near the end, how dare they joke around like that?! Seriously....
Speaking of stupid songs, have you ever heard this one?
It's obviously a flashback to the boy bands of the 90's, which is fine whatever. But, the 90's boy bands were actually good. I love 'Nsync and Backstreet Boys. I still listen to them and the songs are good! But this? This is just sad...I've known you a week, let's make it facebook official. Also, pretty sure half of them are actually girls...and the girls in the video...look like sluts. Just saying.
Next up on my mind: Relationships.
I am not in one, and I am fine with that. But I don't want to deal with the drama from yours. P.S. when you break up...you're not supposed to cuddle all weekend anymore. Just so you know, because obviously no one ever told you that.
Also, I don't even know how many of my friends are engaged, married, or having babies now. Seriously, I have lost count and it's ridiculous. I am not even twenty yet, so I don't find it okay when people younger than me are married with a child. But, it kind of hit me this weekend, when a boy that I dated over the summer and a friend of mine got engaged to each other. They haven't even been dating for a year. I mean that's chill, they love each other and want to be together for eternity....it's just weird to me that 6 months ago I was his first kiss. That puts things into perspective, doesn't it?
I know I said I am fine not being in a relationship (and I totally am) but it's times like that when I see people getting engaged, married and having children that I wonder when will it be my turn. I've never had a serious relationship. I technically haven't had a boyfriend for longer than a month. Also, I have only (technically) had two boyfriends. I just don't get it.
Let's see...I think I am done. Here's one for the road :)
That's me and my friends. Sometimes we are so cool we don't know what to do with ourselves, so we create a Vloggity Vlog, an Official Facebook Page, a YouTube Channel and the wonderful music video featured above. Go ahead and subscribe to the vlog, like our page and subcribe to our channel. We're that cool.
