Haha, okay, so this one asks for a habit that I wish I didn't have. Well. Honestly I had to think about this one.
It went a little like this:
Habits...what habits do I have? I procrastinate sometimes. I get distracted easily. I sing loudly along with the radio. (As I was thinking, I started popping my knuckles....EPIPHANY)
I first started popping my knuckles in like 3rd grade. That is when I first saw people doing it. But, by the end of that year, I had stopped that habit. Someone had told me that I would get arthritus. I was in third grade (didn't know what it meant) but it sounded scary. I started up the habit again in junior high, but again, I stopped by 8th or 9th grade.
Then, in 10th grade, my older sister started dating a boy (her now husband) that loved popping knuckles, even other peoples. He would pop my toes everyday. Which got me hooked once again. But, it wasn't until that point that I started my neck. OH how I love popping my neck. I watch people that have to use their hands to tilt their head and get their neck to pop. Then I show them up, by doing it without any hands and getting lots of pops. I am basically pro at popping my neck. Also, my fingers. I first push in the top knuckles, then the middle knuckles. Then I push the top knuckles the other way. On occasion I even pop my thumbs and my big toes. I never pop my back unless I really really need it.
This is a habit that I wish I didn't have. Especially going into a health profession I feel that I shouldn't do it, because I don't want to set that example for my patients (even though, it is really not terrible for you).
